Sonar is an Australia-based studio that does sound design and composes music for films, advertising, TV, and documentaries. Sonar worked with Nike, Samsung, McDonalds, Netflix, and Disney.
Designer Niccolò Miranda opted for Stratos by Production Type and Ayer by Commercial Type for the site’s headlines and chose Messina Sans by Luzi Type and HK Guise by Hanken Design Co to set its body text.
Stratos, a geometric sans with a weight palette ranging from Thin to Black, is a spin on both gothic wood type of the 20th century and classic geometric grotesques, which makes it a quite versatile tool. The typeface’ Cyrillic support was designed at CSTM Fonts.
