Katarzyna Konieczka is a Polish costume and fashion designer. She designed outfits for photoshoots and shows of such celebrities as Madonna, Lady Gaga, Marylin Manson and worked with I-D Magazine and Vanity Fair. In the summer of 2024, TOFU Studio teamed up with designers Ola Misztela and Basia Kowal to create a visual identity for Konieczka’s brand and used CSTM Xprmntl 02 Italic and Switzer by Indian Type Foundry to cater its typography.
CSTM Xprmntl 02 is a family of three completely different typefaces: a super-closed regular sans with exaggerated, curly stroke endings, a high-contrast italic serif with deliberately straightened strokes of diagonal glyphs, and a brutal bold sans with reverse contrast in both its strokes and proportions. The three work great together yet each of them feels more than all right when left all by itself.
