The Podpisnie Izdaniya publishing house has issued Irish Fairy Tales by James Stephens and Irish Fairy and Folk Tales by William Butler Yeats. The covers of both publications designed by Vladimir Vertinsky feature Yuni Slab by Philipp Neumeyer.
Yuni Slab is a narrow serif with a subtle reference to the 19th-century wooden type such as Clarendon and Franklin Type Foundry’s serif faces. Its short serifs, sizable ball terminals, and big dots are somewhat inspired by Romain du Roi commissioned by Louis XIV. Yuni comes in six weights (from tender Hair to super-heavy Extrabold), with more than 900 glyphs per each: multiple figure sets (circles ones included), all kinds of arrows, case-sensitive punctuation.
