CAHU is a brand specialised in PVC accessories, founded in 2021 by designer and art director Clémence Cahu. The brand identity, designed by Cahu in collaboration with Julien Lelièvre and Tristan Bago, features Signal by Production Type.
Signal is based on Caractères, a typeface used on road signs across France. Designed with urban navigation and interfaces in mind, Signal is characterised by the distinct rigidity typical of most sans serifs of the second half of the 20th century.
