Kazimir in use: The guide on Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain

A Didone for a Destin

3 June 2025

A student in a Typomania School book design course, Julia Dvoryaninova decided to create a guidebook that introduces the reader to the main locations and characters of the film about Amélie Poulain, citing reviews and comments by its authors. The book’s typography is executed with the help of Kazimir by CSTM Fonts and PT Sans.

Kazimir is a modern serif that reimagines late 19th—early 20th-century book typography. The typeface has slightly narrowed proportions, long ascending and descending elements, and dynamic strokes that remind you of the rhythm of baroque (transitional) serif typefaces. Kazimir comes in five weights, from Light to Black, each equipped with italics.
