In 2020, designer Sarah Hibner was invited to give a talk at the IndieWeb conference, bringing together independent developers seeking to build and support their websites without using any corporate products.
Sarah decided to address how variable fonts work. She used three typefaces as an example to support her presentation: CSTM Xprmntl 03 by CSTM Fonts, Space Grotesk by Florian Karsten, and Work Sans by Wei Huang. The lecture materials are currently available as a long read.
CSTM Xprmntl 03 is a display tool developed by Yury Ostromentsky. It comes in three styles: concise and modern uncial Cyrillic, angular and rhythmic Blackletter, and the in-between Medium.
If you used the fonts from our library in your project, please tell us about it! You can do that by sending us the links and images at info@type.today.
